Ok this makes things exciting. Some options that come to my mind:
- Journalist starting a webzine on a topic that he/ she thinks is interesting while the employer thinks otherwise.
- A developer with an idea for a killer application. If the idea is exciting enough, any discerning employer will come forward to support.
- In a progressive company; employee can take proactive steps to help company see opportunities which they were nopt able to see otherwise. It is most likely that the employee will be given the responsibility to execute.
For eg; an employee can propose and initiate community building measures for a product or service of his employer. Such efforts call for little monetary inestment; hence are most liklely to be approved.
This can be the ultimate chance for the employee to differentiate himself, learn. He can easily replicate this for his enterprise when the opportunity arrives.
Somebody has said that if a comment exceeds two paragraphs it becomes a post. I have already committed that sin.
Further i'll update it with examples at some other place.
thanks !
